If your complaint remains unresolved then you may be able to refer it to the Legal Ombudsman. Any complaint to the Legal Ombudsman must normally be made within one year of the date of the act or omission about which you are concerned, or within one year of when you should reasonably have known there was cause for complaint.
You must also refer your complaint to the Legal Ombudsman within six months of receiving our final written response about your complaint. If the Legal Ombudsman cannot resolve the dispute, then with our agreement, you can refer any dispute to Promediate (UK) Ltd. (https://www.promediate.co.uk/).
You may have a right to object to an invoice by applying to the Court for an assessment of it under Part III of the Solicitors Act 1974.
